Due to their high mechanical strength, ease of use, and good compression resilience, they are more suitable for applications involving drastic temperature fluctuations. Strictly speaking, they do not have a unique sealing principle and are used similarly to other gaskets such as rubber gaskets, but they are particularly suitable for situations where other gaskets made of different materials are not applicable.
